Responsible for supporting the Indirect Purchasing Department and may be leveraged to help on the Direct side as well. Working cross-functionally to understand needs for third-party engagement across the business, identify and evaluate potential partners and suppliers, draft and issue RFQs, lead the negotiation of key terms and conditions as well as pricing, manage commercial and supply chain issues, identify and execute on cost reduction opportunities, and management of third-party relationships. Implement day-to-day procure-to-pay transactions for indirect/non-inventory purchases by converting purchase requests into standard purchase orders. Identify reliable sources, request bids, evaluate quotes, make supplier selections, and coordinate the negotiation of contracts as required to purchase materials and services. Support outsourcing and purchasing activities, quoting, scope of work, and requisitions related to product development while ensuring suppliers' on-time delivery. Deliver value to the organization through developing RFx documents and evaluating supplier proposals (scope, cost, timing, risk, etc.). Lead cross-functional strategic planning efforts and clearly communicate strategic sourcing options and final recommendations. Engage and collaborate with internal departments to ensure contract agreement compliance pertaining to legal implications and terms and conditions required to protect the company. Manage business transactions in ERP including requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, and invoice processing. Develop and execute cost savings strategies to support company goals and department commitments. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Engineering, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to understand requirements, timelines and align procurement strategies accordingly, communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. This position will study market prices and trends, as well as industry developments (where applicable) and advise the company with the concurrence of the department manager. Solve problems by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience and judgment with a minimum level of guidance and direction. Effectively communicate complex information involving Developmental Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Supply Base, or Supply Chain to others. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of experience required Experience in facility construction is highly desirable Specific expertise in sourcing battery components (cathode, electrolyte, anode material, separator, structural parts, aluminum foil, copper foil) in a relevant industry preferred Proven track record of successful supplier relationship management, negotiation, and cost optimization Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, perform cost analyses, and make data-driven decisions Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills; Mandarin speaking with working knowledge of Chinese culture is a plus Proficiency in relevant software and tools for procurement and supply chain management Ability to travel internationally Benefits & Summary
