JOB SUMMARY:
The Dedicated Logistics Coordinator provides overall direction throughout the Dedicated Fleet operation and provides operational assistance to the Director of Dedicated Operations wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers.
Provides constant communications of service issues to appropriate personnel and departments, both internal (STEVENS TRANSPORT) and external (Customer).
Performs load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties using AS400.
Coordinates with home-office invoicing team to ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly customer invoices.
Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks.
Provides weekly KPI/performance data reports to both internal and external parties.
Coordinates daily scheduling of truck and trailer maintenance.
Works with safety department on Netradyne, driver compliance and HOS issues.
Assists Director of Dedicated Operations with implementing STEVENS TRANSPORT’s Safety, Security and Labor policies.
Assists and provides coverage throughout departments during vacations, holidays if necessary.
Assists with driver payroll.
Audits and approves driver expense reports.
Provides assistance wherever needed.
Regular and ad‑hoc reporting (P&L, revenue share, load counts, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in logistics and/or transportation.
Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication and decision‑making skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently and multitask.
Ability and availability to work extended hours if necessary.
Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal/state regulations and DOT regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel reporting functions.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with transportation of temperature‑controlled product.
Highly organized and communicative, especially in the development of action plans and to ensure accountability and follow‑through.
Ability to perform in a demanding, deadline‑driven environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Some knowledge of the AS400 operating system preferred.
