SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES Responsible for developing new business through sales efforts in a South State metropolitan market. Manages an entry-level loan and deposit portfolio, providing superior client service. Analyzes financial information to evaluate the creditworthiness of loan requests. Compiles complete and accurate loan packages. Sells and cross-sells additional bank products and services. Ensures all loans comply with State and Federal regulations, as well as bank policies and procedures. Success is measured by calling activity, proposal generation, revenue, risk mitigation, and relationship building both internally and externally. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Participate in business development to grow the loan and deposit portfolio within the metro market. Develop consultative relationships with prospects and clients to deliver banking solutions. Manage loan and deposit requests to meet credit quality, responsiveness, structure, and pricing needs. Collaborate with Treasury Management Sales Officers, Capital Markets, Wealth, and Retail teams. Underwrite loan requests following bank policies; ensure loan packages are accurate for credit approval. Manage and service the assigned loan portfolio. Maintain complete documentation for all loans and deposits. Address any documentation or compliance deficiencies. Partner with Credit to risk grade loans and adjust risk grades as needed. Price loans and deposits according to current bank guidelines. Document reasons for departures from standard pricing. Practice fair lending principles. Stay informed about laws and regulations affecting lending activities. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Resolve client issues and inquiries, providing excellent service. Build and maintain positive relationships with Centers of Influence and the community to enhance the bank's reputation. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements Education : Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking, or related field required; banking school graduation is a plus. Experience : 1-5 years in commercial lending or portfolio management, including loan structuring and credit analysis. Knowledge : Extensive knowledge of bank products, services, procedures, and lending regulations; familiarity with the local business community preferred. Skills : Strong sales, interpersonal, and negotiating skills; excellent communication; basic accounting and credit skills; detail-oriented; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES Annual compliance training and New Employee Orientation. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to interpret computer screens, documents, and reports; extensive computer use required, either sitting or standing at a desk. WORK ENVIRONMENT Private office setting. TRAVEL Occasional travel may be required.
