Job Summary
The Telemetry Technician position at NewYork-Presbyterian, Queens Hospital operates full-time night shift (11P-7A) with required weekend coverage for the first two years. You will monitor patients’ electrocardiogram (EKG) patterns, document cardiac activity, and alarm nursing staff to changes or arrhythmias. You’ll work closely with nursing leaders and use high-end telemetry equipment to visualize EKG rhythms relative to predetermined parameters. Responsibilities
Monitor patients' EKG patterns and identify arrhythmias. Document cardiac activity accurately. Alert nurses or physicians with any changes or arrhythmic events. Collaborate with nursing leaders to ensure continuous patient monitoring. Operate and troubleshoot telemetry equipment. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. BLS certification from American Heart Association. Completed EKG/Arrhythmia certification program. Working knowledge of telemetry procedures, supplies, equipment, and aseptic techniques. Benefits
