Manufacturing Engineering Technician Job Summary The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible for providing support to the Process, Equipment and Automation Engineering teams. This role will help develop and optimize processes, create manufacturing documentation, assemble prototypes and equipment as well as aid in troubleshooting efforts for the engineering teams. Duties & Responsibilities Build, document, test, and repair product, fixtures, and/or equipment by following technical documentation. Maintain instruments and manufacturing equipment ensuring proper monitoring, compliance with calibration, and proper control of asset location. Fabricate custom wire harnesses for automation equipment, including cable preparation and termination by following technical drawings. Wire/install custom automation equipment based on drawing/schematics. Fabricate pneumatic assemblies for automation equipment and prototyping based on drawing/schematics. Develop Manufacturing Assembly Procedures and Work Instructions. Execute process development experiments, accurately log data, and organize results. Coordinate logistics for engineering tools and equipment between different sites. Request quote with vendors and order fixtures or equipment for duplication purposes. Identify and purchase of the shelf components needed for equipment/fixtures. Perform installation and adjustment of fixtures and equipment by following proper procedures. Order, receive, organize and maintain tools and standard hardware for manufacturing. Perform failure analysis testing on production and returned sensors (electrical test, teardown, X-Ray). Initiate and close production and engineering builds, along with all related paperwork. Set-up, program and maintain surface mount technology equipment. Quote and order supplies and consumables for laboratories (cleaning, masking, PPE, etc) Maintain and promote 5S standards. Train manufacturing associates. Provide input to engineering staff for process, fixture & equipment improvements. Assist in prototype builds, such as 3D prints, testing, etc.

Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Electronic Test/Automation/Mechanical Technician experience. Experience with electrical and/or optical products and equipment. Experience with Industrial Controls panel wiring, cable routing, crimping, termination, labeling, component layout, sensors, robotics, PLC wiring. Ability to read and understand schematics and mechanical drawings. Working knowledge of lab equipment (oscilloscopes, Multimeters, etc.) Working knowledge of metrology equipment (comparator, calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, pin gages, etc.) and able to perform measurements. Capability following and providing feedback on engineering procedures. Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail. Ability to work well in team environment. Carry out small projects independently or complete assigned tasks for major product development efforts. Knowledge in cGMP requirements and preferably ISO 9000 requirements. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interface with Research and Development, Quality Assurance, and Production teams. Experience with fabrication equipment (Mill, Lathe, 3D printers, drill press, chop saw, etc.) Excellent computer skills - CAD, word processing, and spreadsheets. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Education

High School Diploma or G.E.D, associate degree or Certification in Electronics/Automation/Mechanical assembly preferred.
