Greensboro, NC , is seeking hardworking and motivated professionals to join their innovative team. Cybersecurity Analyst
Location: Greensboro, NC. ONSITE. Hours: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm ET (Monday - Friday) Duration: 10 months with the possibility of extension/conversion Pay Range: $45 - $52/hr. on W-2 Key Responsibilities Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) alert queues continuously and investigate detections to identify suspicious activities. Rapidly analyze and respond to security breaches that could compromise sensitive organizational information. Assess the nature and severity of security threats, determining appropriate actions to contain and mitigate risks. Formulate temporary fixes to neutralize active threats, restore security posture, and ensure data integrity. Handle true positive alerts and upscale incidents accordingly, ensuring swift resolution. Define, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, controls, and procedures aligned with organizational standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security projects, serving as a subject matter expert to strengthen security defenses. Stay informed about emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to continuously improve security measures. Apply advanced knowledge across multiple business domains, systems, applications, or security tools to address increasing complexity. Work independently on complex tasks while also contributing to team efforts that involve multiple stakeholders. Participate in ongoing security initiatives to enhance the organizations security posture.
Qualifications
Typically 2 to 5 years of relevant cybersecurity experience. Strong knowledge of SOC operations, threat detection, and incident response. Experience in analyzing and mitigating security threats and breaches. Familiarity with security tools, frameworks, and best practices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing complex scenarios with confidence. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams. Up-to-date knowledge of current security threats, vulnerabilities, and remediation strategies.
