The Harvest Crew Lead provides strategic leadership which leads the pre and post harvest processes. This position will be responsible for preparing and processing harvests for flower processing in addition to leading a team of 7+ harvest team members. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, positive individual who can think of no better way to spend the work day than harvesting cannabis plants with expert care and precision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participating in cannabis harvest process including offload, harvesting, sanitizing and reloading flower rooms, collecting and destruction of cannabis waste
Harvesting and drying rooms
Accurately weigh and record post-harvest materials and manage cultivation waste
Cleans, sanitizes, and deep cleans harvest rooms + air filters.
Maintain open communication with management team and co-workers
Maintain a neat and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes
Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties
Qualifications
Previous experience in cannabis cultivation / harvest leadership role in a regulated cannabis facility.
Education in agriculture / horticulture encouraged (High School / AA / BA )
Adapts and thrives in demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and ability to focus on one task at a time while thinking of big picture goals.
Work Environment
Primary work will be in indoor cultivation / harvest facilities where they are exposed to various environmental conditions associated with plant cultivation / harvest.
May be exposed to elevated temperatures, high humidity, and artificial lighting.
Moderate levels of low, moderate, and high noise from equipment such as fans, ventilations systems, and/or music.
Job Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities, not hours; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
