We’re looking for a Semiconductor Inspection & Test Technician to join our cleanroom operations team in Los Alamitos, CA.
Job Summary
As a Semiconductor Inspection & Test Technician, you’ll perform detailed visual and electrical inspections of unpackaged and packaged semiconductors (bare die) under a microscope in a cleanroom environment. You’ll ensure products meet all customer and industry quality standards while maintaining strict adherence to ESD, safety, and cleanliness protocols.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow technical procedures precisely.
Key Responsibilities
Perform microscope inspections of unpackaged semiconductors (bare die) to detect defects, contamination, or specification deviations.
Handle and load die into trays, carriers, or approved containers using established cleanroom procedures.
Verify lot numbers, quantities, and product identification before and after processing.
Conduct electrical testing of packaged semiconductor parts as required.
Accurately document inspection results in production and quality records.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with ESD and safety standards.
Communicate quality issues promptly to supervisors and quality engineers.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in electronics, semiconductors, or manufacturing preferred.
Experience in semiconductor handling, cleanroom operations, or precision manufacturing strongly preferred.
Familiarity with ESD handling and cleanroom protocols.
Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and perform repetitive inspection tasks with accuracy.
Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work for extended periods using low- and high-powered microscopes.
Strong visual acuity and hand–eye coordination for precision inspection work.
