Senior Retail Marketing Manager – Beauty – Los Angeles
Base pay range:
$120,000 - $130,000 per year
Responsibilities:
Ideate and execute strong trade marketing strategies specific to retailer needs with a focus on Sephora North America that maximize business results, profit targets and grow brand awareness.
Leverage retailer insights to drive growth and share specific to each sales channel (US, Canada, Kohls).
Responsible for providing all retail partners with timely information on all calendarized programs.
Accountable for on-time, on-budget planning & execution of all components of the approved strategy and integrated brand plans that drive retail.
Own retailer toolkits for all key launches and core activations; work with internal creative and brand marketing teams to brief and partner on execution of assets.
Own full retail marketing programming and develop comprehensive understanding of all key channel levers, inclusive of retailer .com, animations, marketing events, digital marketing, social media and COOP.
Make recommendations on assortment in‑store and online based on performance metrics and competitive environment.
Identify portfolio opportunities and proactively manage edits/discontinuations with product marketing.
Partner with product marketing to brief sampling & promotional product development.
Collect & analyze reports and recommend actions.
Develop and manage execution of sampling program: understand different sampling opportunities and placement, negotiate accompanying marketing levers, ensure execution and recap performance.
Oversee preparation and deliver presentations for sales and retailer meetings as needed and drive ongoing touch‑base agendas.
Maintain internal and retailer‑facing marketing calendars, own communication of marketing programs to all key stakeholders.
Share out key competitive activity and insights.
Manage all visual merchandising needs for North America – Homebay and secondary placements – from brief through execution to ensure best‑in‑class presentation of the brand.
Act as primary liaison with internal creative team and retailer merchants/VM teams.
Ensure ongoing alignment with sales and education, with key attentiveness to field feedback.
Proactively pitch for secondary merchandising opportunities (beauty on the fly, towers, etc).
Budget Management:
Responsible for efficient utilization of trade budget to achieve brand/company goals and growth in sales and market share.
Track spending to budget, review and process all invoices, provide ad‑hoc analysis, assist with reconciliation.
Provide reporting on effectiveness/ROI of spend.
Requirements:
7–8 years of related retail marketing experience, including with Sephora North America.
Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint & Excel.
