Controls Technician
As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting industrial controls equipment. You will provide electrical and controls support for the production operations and maintenance departments, addressing control and electrical issues to resolve problems related to equipment and process downtime, throughput improvement, and safety concerns. Your role ensures that plant automated equipment, robots, PLCs, and process control equipment are functioning as required. You will make minor PLC and HMI software changes, troubleshoot existing equipment, and work collaboratively with engineers and technicians on new automated process equipment deployments. Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial controls equipment. Provide electrical and controls support for production and maintenance departments. Ensure automated equipment, robots, PLCs, and process control equipment function as required. Make minor PLC and HMI software changes and troubleshoot existing equipment. Utilize input from production, maintenance supervisors, operators, vendors, and service providers to enhance troubleshooting and equipment improvements. Follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on deploying new automated process equipment. Assist engineers in laying out and fabricating machine control panels. Essential Skills
Proficiency in PLC Programming and Troubleshooting. Understanding of electrical and control systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Experience in control panel fabrication and modification. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Siemens TIA-Portal and Rockwell RSStudio. FANUC Robotics experience (Preferred). Experience in sensor integration. Minimum of an associate degree, Certification in Automation, Journeyman Electrician, or significant controls experience in a manufacturing environment. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
