Description
The Accounting Manager is a critical member of the Finance team, supporting Living Proof's work organization-wide. Charged with monitoring and improving accounting operations focused on revenue/receivables and cost of good sold, the monthly close, and managing the general ledger, the successful candidate will work with the entire Living Proof team to assure Finance department initiatives are accurately represented across core functions.

Responsibilities:
Own the order to cash cycle, oversee the accounts receivable function including cash management, maintaining customer relationships, and onboarding new revenue initiatives and processes
Supervisory responsibilities of the Accounting team
Drive the revenue and receivables accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines
Prepare monthly reconciliations, journal entries and financial report
Review and approve monthly journal entries and general ledger reconciliations prepared by other team members
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reporting
Review and analyze key revenue and income statement accounts
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key cross-functional counterparts within the organization
Take integral role in internal control audit and annual control assessment review and day to day functioning of internal controls
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key cross-functional counterparts within the organization
Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
Requirements
3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
CPA or MSA preferred
Managerial or leadership experience required, or demonstrated ability to develop and coach team members
Audit background or experience strongly preferred
Understanding of internal controls - how they work, identify when something is not working and how to make as efficient as possible
Demonstrated ability to improve processes and strong desire to continuously drive efficiencies
Solid knowledge of finance and accounting principles including GAAP or IFRS
Proficiency with Excel required; experience with NetSuite (or other ERP) preferred
Familiarity with EDI transactions a plus
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule around strict month-end close deadline
