Systems Engineer 3 Job Location: Hazelwood, MO Duration: 12 months
Job Description: Develop, document, and verify customer requirements to outline stakeholder scenarios for analysis Assess operational availability, mission effectiveness, cost for baseline, adverse part reliability, and mitigation scenarios to transform stakeholder scenarios into trade study requests using pre-configured templates. Support the selection, configuration, and implementation of appropriate analysis models to align with outlined stakeholder requirements Produce meaningful analysis through evaluation of sustainment strategies to improve fleet performance by integrating models for supply chain and logistics, mission operations, and life-cycle cost Coordinate with the customer and present trade-study analysis results at customer engagements in the Virtual Sustainment Center (VSC) using a standard suite of analysis dashboards Support modification of simulation models and trade study definitions to address different scenarios and decision support questions. Support model optimization tasks and release testing to incorporate capability enhancements into modeling suite Support the development and maintenance of product roadmaps and system lifecycle plans. Document team plans and status, develop meeting agendas and presentations.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Operations and logistics modeling experience Simulation analysis experience specifically covering both discrete event simulations and trade study models. 3+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design) 3+ years' experience building stakeholder and customer relationships
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Agile development experience Excellent oral and verbal communication skills Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Logistics modeling and supply chain modeling experience Familiarity with modeling tools such AFSIM, LSAS, OPUS and/or SIMLOX Software development, integration and test, data science and simulation animation.
Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
