As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications across the hospital. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes and provide excellent care. Your expertise will directly impact the health and well-being of our patients in meaningful ways.

What You'll Do: Dispenses medications and IV medications for patients ranging in age from neonatal through elderly adults in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and hospital policies and procedures. Interprets medication orders and transcribes into the computerized patient medication record accurately. Ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols Participates in the orientation of all new employees; provides in-services education to pharmacy and hospital staff; assists in preparing performance evaluations as required. Assures accurate and complete labeling of drugs distributed from pharmacy; maintains records of transactions to assure control and accountability for all drugs. Participates in quality improvement and medication use reviews in accordance with department and medical staff approved criteria. Sustains the formulary by minimizing non-formulary procurement, utilizing therapeutic substitution protocols, and promoting rational drug therapy selection. Provides clinical consultations and clarification to practitioners; suggests appropriate, cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to medical staff, as needed. Documents all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely. What We're Looking For:

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited program. Current, valid Pharmacist license in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain). Experience in a clinical setting preferred, but not required for new graduates. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. Commitment to continuing education and staying current with industry developments. Benefits Highlights:
