Overview
Materials Coordinator / Material Handler — Scottsdale, AZ — Contract Position — Pay Estimated: $17.49/Hour This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.). Support material flow and inventory control by managing stock status, identifying shortages, kitting production materials, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery to the manufacturing floor. Responsibilities:
Perform
material planning and inventory coordination
using enterprise software tools.
Review stock records, verify availability, and support purchasing or scheduling decisions based on production requirements.
Kit and issue materials for daily or weekly production needs, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Identify
material shortages , document scrap/salvage, and assist in resolving supply issues.
Coordinate with
planners, material managers, and production teams
to prioritize and track parts.
Handle, process, and track
classified or customer-controlled materials
as required.
Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures for all material movements.
Work independently while following routine processes; seek guidance for non-standard tasks.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of related experience in material handling, inventory control, or production support.
Familiarity with
MRP/ERP systems
and
inventory management tools .
Working knowledge of
bills of material (BOMs)
and
manufacturing/test documentation .
Strong organizational and tracking skills
with attention to detail.
Ability to understand and work from
drawings, part lists, and job orders .
Must be able to work
on-site
in a production or warehouse environment.
Knowledge of
Government / Customer Property Control
preferred.
