Clerk II – Shipping/Receiving – 1st Shift

at our Dallas, TX location.

The hourly rate for this position is $22 per hour. Core hours are 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Mandatory overtime will occasionally be required.

Responsibilities The Clerk II provides comprehensive support to Eaton's Shipping and Receiving department. Responsibilities include reinforcing shipping and receiving processes and procedures, ensuring safety in the shipping process and area, managing data collection, reporting, and storage, handling packaging and shipment services for non-prototype domestic and foreign shipments, and managing mail and coordinating the internal delivery of received packages.

Key Duties

Provide consistent coverage and support during core business hours (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) and overtime as needed.

Communicate professionally with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

Adhere to domestic and international freight standards and collaborate with the Logistics Lead to stay up to date with all Eaton governing shipments.

Comply with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department requirements related to shipping and receiving activities.

Support peers during high demand, complying with scheduled start/stop times and break periods, and cross‑train for other job functions as necessary.

Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products; may lift and carry up to 35 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs.

Operate a forklift after completion of training, evaluation, and issuance of an Operator license.

Perform inventory cycle counts as needed.

Manage documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate daily data entry into the electronic tracking, shipping, and storage systems and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) in compliance with accounting and finance policies, including Oracle.

Participate in on‑the‑job training, safety initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Support department leads and supervisors with day‑to‑day activities and provide temporary supervision in their absence.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 6 months experience with a stand‑up forklift, sit‑down forklift, cherry picker, or reach truck.

Minimum 6 months clerical and administrative experience.

Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX are considered; active‑duty military service members are exempt from the geographical limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.

Knowledge of Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS), Microsoft Office Suite, SAP.

Previous experience delegating warehouse tasks to others.

Skills & Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.

Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.
