Hospitality Volunteer

UCOM is a community resource center and food pantry located in Wyoming Michigan. We offer our neighbors a variety of resources and opportunities in addition to the food pantry. We are looking for volunteers to serve as "hospitality hosts" in our lobby. After reception has checked neighbors in to the pantry and while they are waiting we are looking for someone to make them feel welcome, point them in the direction of coffee/bathrooms, and tell them about the other resources available to them beyond the pantry. Someone to help them sign up for the classes they are interested in, help them shop if they are new to shopping in the pantry, keep the coffee pot full, etc. We are looking for someone who is a people person, enjoys interacting with others, and any level of Spanish knowledge is a bonus! Hours are based on your availability. Current needs are: Monday 10:00-12:30 / 1:00-4:00 Tuesday 10:00-12:30 / 1:00-4:00 Thursday 4:00-6:30 3 shifts available: Mondays or Tuesdays: 10:00 to 12:30 EST Mondays or Tuesdays: 13:00 to 16:00 EST Thursdays: 16:00 to 18:30 EST
