Farmer's Market Coordinator at
Bonton Farms
– part-time role based in Dallas, supporting the Dallas Farmers Market and community events. This role combines product sales with community education and requires someone who can authentically share our mission while building relationships with customers and representing our farm-fresh products. Responsibilities
Market Operations & Sales: load and transport goods, set up booth and represent Bonton Farms at the Dallas Farmers Market every Saturday (8-12 hour shifts), participate in additional events as schedule permits, manage product inventory and setup/breakdown of displays, process credit card transactions and maintain sales records, ensure attractive product presentation, report sales, loss, and inventory weekly. Customer Engagement & Education: serve as primary point of contact for customers, educate on product range (produce, eggs, pork, honey, jams, pickles, seasonal offerings), share Bonton Farms mission and impact, answer questions about farming practices and products, build lasting relationships with repeat customers and vendors. Mission Representation & Partnerships: communicate Bonton Farms values (courage, love, unity, excellence), act as an ambassador for community development and urban farming initiatives, connect with diverse audiences to build awareness and support, represent the organization professionally at public events. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Outgoing communicator with customer service or sales aptitude. Quick learner with ability to retain product and mission knowledge. Professional, reliable, and values-driven demeanor. Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather. Saturday availability (typical shifts 8–12 hours) and reliable transportation. Preferred
Personal connection to Bonton Farms or residence in the Bonton neighborhood. Previous sales, customer service, or community outreach experience. Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish). Social media savvy and comfort with technology. Passion for urban agriculture, community development, or social justice initiatives. Skills & Attributes

Reliable transportation to travel to market locations. Availability for Saturday market shifts (8-12 hours). Flexibility to participate in special events and additional markets. Work Environment & Schedule
Primary Schedule: Every Saturday at Dallas Farmers Market. Additional opportunities: Special events, community festivals, and pop-up markets based on availability. Team structure: Usually work with at least one other team member; potential for independent work after gaining experience.
