Job Description Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist Profession: Speech and Language Pathologists Specialty: Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 hours, Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 year of SLP experience, LTC or rehab experience License: Missouri State License Certifications: CCC certified SLP
Must-Have: - New graduates are welcome as long as they have Level II experience and not just Level I observation experience
Description: Effectively screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Develops appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Modifies services based on patient evaluations and makes referrals related to outcomes. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding speech disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system. Maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided in compliance with all regulatory and clinical requirements. Participates in required meetings including, but not limited to, patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings. Participates in facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and conferences. Able to obtain any necessary durable medical equipment or supplies in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Able to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists. Adheres to ASHA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
