Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will meticulously follow assembly procedures and work instructions, ensuring attention to detail. You will verify the integrity of materials, assemble components in specified orders using appropriate tools, and perform visual inspections to ensure quality. Your role is crucial in maintaining accuracy and cleanliness within the workspace.

Responsibilities

Follow assembly procedures and work instructions with attention to detail.

Verify the integrity of materials to be assembled according to procedures.

Assemble components in specific orders using proper tooling and equipment.

Conduct visual inspections of components and assemblies.

Identify and report defective components.

Ensure accuracy of work-in-process within the work cell.

Maintain cleanliness in your work area and surrounding workspace.

Fulfill any other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools such as tweezers, rulers, cutters, torque drivers, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.

Ability to read procedures, interpret visual aids, and follow mechanical and electrical drawings.

Skill in precision mechanical component placement and assembly.

Experience with microscope assembly and gearboxes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley, California

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
