Reporting to the Compounding Lead, the Compounder is responsible for accurately weighing and/or mixing raw materials according to product specifications. Founded in 2010 and based in the Austin area, Goodkind is a leading manufacturer of clean and green personal care and beauty products. Goodkind specializes in natural deodorant, skincare, and facial care products. The company has a wealth of experience in the formulation of these products and can develop according to a variety of guidelines from consumer organizations such as Ecocert to EWG, to retailers such as Credo or Sephora. Follow all safety guidelines and be an integral part of the safety of the workplace by participating in all safety initiatives. Wear all appropriate PPE when working with the chemicals and equipment required for weighing and batching. Ensure batches are produced in accordance with the production schedule. Complete all daily lab department tasks. Weigh individual chemicals and ingredients to the desired weights required by the documentation and document all of the correct information from the weighed ingredients to the batching documentation. Record defective, damaged, spilled, or otherwise lost materials or finished bulk product. Keep track of all documentation, fill it out completely, and follow all good documentation practices. Work with the Compounding Lead/Supervisor to find problems and their solutions. All chemical inventory should be tracked and returned in a timely manner when not being used back to the warehouse. Work with the Industrial Cleaning team to ensure the tanks are being downloaded/cleaned in a timely manner. Cooperate with the warehouse and report any material discrepancies and shortages. Perform daily cleaning and inspection of equipment to prevent cross contamination. Work with maintenance to identify any malfunctioning or damaged equipment and have it repaired or removed from service. Work as a resource with Supervision, Process Engineering and Research and Development on any changes that should be made to the batching procedures. Any additional responsibilities that supervision requires for the success of the department and company. What We Require

High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree in a science preferred Excellent English written and verbal communication Ability to stand for a significant portion of the shift Ability to lift up 50 lbs regularly through the shift. Must be willing to work overtime and or weekend work as required by management or the production schedule Must be able to perform fundamental mathematical calculations Availability to be onsite daily with reliable attendance during work hours; must be available/reachable during off hours in case of emergency Consistently meet individual and team goals daily Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization, maintaining a positive and professional attitude
