Job Summary This position is based in Syracuse, NY.
Will work closely with Application Developers, System Administrators and other Technical Team members to design, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot Epic IRIS databases.
Responsibilities include: installation and upgrading of Epic and IRIS software; patching, backups and recovery; monitoring, tuning, code optimization, replication, troubleshooting and database performance optimization.
Additional responsibilities include database security and auditing, database design, testing and performing disaster recovery exercises.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three years relevant database administration experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills required for higher level SL4 appointment.
Candidate should be able to demonstrate initiative, customer orientation, and teamwork competencies.
Candidates that possess a Bachelor's degree in a computer related field with no experience will be considered for a lower level appointment at a commensurate salary.
Preferred Qualifications
Database administrative experience in Cache/IRIS preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare industry, application development, and software installation desirable.
Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Linux, Unix, and Epic are also desired.
