Job Summary: As an

OCIP Administrator

you will play a key role in managing and supporting a large‑scale

Owners Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP)

for BNY’s upcoming construction project at 240 Greenwich Street in New York City. Currently in the pre‑planning phase with construction scheduled to begin in 2026, this role will support the Insurance and Risk Management team in the oversight, coordination, and administration of insurance programs related to construction, property, and corporate risk.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of OCIP operations, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to liaise with brokers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective insurance management throughout all project stages.

Key Responsibilities:

OCIP Program Administration:

Oversee the development, placement, and ongoing management of the Owners Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) for the 240 Greenwich construction project, including general liability, builders risk, and related coverage.

Insurance Program Management:

Support the renewal, evaluation, and administration of corporate insurance programs including Property & Casualty, Workers Compensation, and Construction Insurance for BNY’s entities and subsidiaries.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Partner closely with brokers, safety managers, and construction teams to review and approve claims, settlements, and payments, while coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely processing.

Compliance & Documentation:

Review vendor and supplier contracts, RFPs, and certificates of insurance for compliance with risk and insurance requirements.

Reporting & Governance:

Maintain insurance schedules, track claims, verify binders and policies for accuracy, and coordinate with Finance and Accounts Payable to ensure proper payment and recordkeeping.

Risk Advisory Support:

Assist with corporate insurance renewals and provide guidance on insurance clauses in contracts, leases, and project agreements.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to streamline OCIP processes, enhance documentation practices, and strengthen collaboration between construction, legal, and risk functions.

Qualifications:

5-7 years of professional experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry

Background working with Real Estate, Construction, or Safety teams on OCIP insurance programs

Proven experience managing or administering OCIP or large-scale construction insurance programs

Strong understanding of construction-related coverage (Builders Risk, Owners Interest Liability, Workers Compensation, etc.)

Experience preparing underwriting submission materials and facilitating policy renewals

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Experience reviewing construction contracts and insurance requirements

Familiarity with large corporate or institutional construction projects

Preferred Experience:

8+ years as an OCIP Admin handling multi-million dollar projects
