Summary:
The Testing & Commissioning Administrator will oversee and execute testing, commissioning, and validation of systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. This role collaborates with engineering, design, installation, and project management teams to deliver fully operational systems on time and within budget. Responsibilities
Develop detailed testing and commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules. Coordinate with the client, contractors, vendors, and project teams for pre-commissioning requirements. Review each system of design drawings (including Equipment Schedule and P&ID drawings) to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Perform validation field walks of all equipment status and record data into UIS CxAlloy equipment tracking application. Perform on-site testing and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and/or specialized systems. Ensure proper functionality, safety, and performance of systems in accordance with project specifications. Identify and troubleshoot issues during the commissioning phase and provide solutions. Maintain accurate records of testing and commissioning activities, including results and observations in MEP, Cleanroom, PCW (Process Cooling Water), HVAC, and AAS (Air Abatement) systems. Prepare and submit commissioning reports and certificates for client approval. Perform daily site visits. Ensure adherence to Owner RFP requirements, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures during commissioning activities. Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and site supervisors to ensure alignment of objectives. Provide training and handover documentation to the client or end-users. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and/or Trade school. 1-3+ years of proven experience as a Field Coordinator in Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Medical, Oil/Gas, or other related Construction. Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of testing and commissioning methodology and processes. Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and transportation requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints. Ability to learn and understand BIM 360 and CxAlloy software. High level of attention to detail and highly organized. Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Ability to prioritize responsibilities based on project needs; effective presentation and communication with groups of managers and employees. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining professionalism. Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office). Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional Requirements
Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license. Travel to other sites within Arizona may be required to perform certain work functions. Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for transporting documents, equipment, and other materials as needed. The role involves extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working at a computer. Frequent movement between the construction trailer and various areas of the construction site is necessary. The position is based at the construction job site (trailer office). While exposure to hazardous work conditions is minimal, the employee may visit the work area and be exposed to typical construction site hazards (dust, moving machinery, weather, caustic chemicals, noise).
