Make Ready Technician – Envolve Community Management Company

Job Details Location: Marshall Apartments, Austin, TX
We are looking for a friendly, self‑motivated individual to join our growing company. The Make Ready Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs, apply specialized skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, and assist the Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare an apartment for move‑in after the previous resident has vacated it.
Responsible for daily upkeep and cleaning of the exterior of the property.
Report unprofessional appearance to the Community Manager and make recommendations.
Remove trash and all items left by the previous resident.
Repair and prepare walls, doors, wood trim, closets, and cabinets for painting.
Repair any glass items such as windows, medicine cabinets, light globes, mirrors, etc.
Ensure proper operation of stove, vent‑a‑hood, garbage disposal, refrigerator, dishwasher, water heater, HVAC, washer and dryer, and any other appliances.
Repair minor problems and report major problems to management for prior move‑in repair.
Ensure proper operation of all window blinds and/or curtains.
Ensure all door latches operate properly and have proper carpet clearance.
Install weather stripping around doors and windows where required.
Repair bathroom floor and wall tile when required.
Repair leaks in faucets, water pressure lines, and drain lines.
Help create and maintain an environment that fosters loyalty, team spirit, and unity among Envolve Management personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Make‑Ready or Maintenance Technician.
• Ability to move heavy equipment safely using proper equipment.
• Availability for emergency maintenance calls 24x7.
• Normal work hours typically 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday to Friday (may vary slightly by season) with occasional overtime.
• Successful background screening and drug test required.
