: Participates in the development and implementation of advancement programs (annual funds, alumni relations, special events, stewardship, public relations, etc.); plans and executes related activities and administrative functions; provides technical knowledge and experience in basic fund-raising principles and advancement activities.

Assists development staff, managers and administrators in developing and implementing annual funds and grassroots programs for alumni and other donor constituent groups; participates in and coordinates phone-a-thons, direct mail appeals, membership drives, reunions, special events, etc.

Develops and prepares acknowledgements, newsletters, brochures, press releases, reports, correspondence, and informational and solicitation materials for various advancement activities.

Plans and conducts meetings, events, and activities to recruit volunteers, build relations with alumni, and maintain good will with various constituent groups.

Provides guidance and supervision as needed to the UH student foundation and other volunteer student organizations involved in fund-raising and other advancement activities.

Executes various administrative functions such as preparing and monitoring budgets.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ:

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

Additional Job Posting Information Additional Job Posting Information: The Development Coordinator II – Annual Giving is responsible for managing annual giving campaigns across colleges and units, while also serving as the frontline point of contact for donor inquiries through the donor support inbox and phone line. This role ensures that donors receive timely, accurate and professional assistance and executes college and unit campaigns in alignment with division and university strategies and priorities.

Additional Job Duties Manage the Division of Advancement and Alumni donor support inbox and phone line, providing clear and timely responses to donor questions and concerns.

Resolve donor issues directly or coordinate with Gift Processing, Development Officers and other departments to ensure accurate handling of gifts and donor requests.

Partner with college and unit-based development staff to coordinate direct mail and digital annual giving campaigns, including planning, timelines, and deliverables.

Ensure college campaigns align with central Annual Giving goals and university brand standards.

Track campaign results and donor inquiries to identify trends, improve processes and enhance future campaign effectiveness.

Support stewardship efforts tied to college and unit campaigns, including thank-you messaging and donor acknowledgement.

Maintain organized records of donor interactions, campaign planning materials and results to support reporting and continuous improvement.

Provide additional support for central annual giving campaigns as needed

Qualification Preferences

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service and donor care.

Experience with campaign coordination, project management or advancement/fundraising environments.

Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work collaboratively across teams.

Ability to assess issues and determine appropriate solutions using established guidelines, while exercising sound judgment to escalate unusual or complex matters.

Experience with fundraising databases, donor management systems or CRM tools is a plus
