Role and Responsibilities
We have an immediate opportunity for a Manual Machinist - Bridgeport with 3-5 years of experience. In this position, you will help us create tools and other components using a variety of materials and equipment.
Including lathes, mills, drill presses, shapers, bandsaws, shear, punch presses, grinding machines, etc.
Manual Machinist Duties and Responsibilities
\- Read blueprints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job. Follow the blueprints to create the appropriate tools and components.
\- Perform all assigned machine shop operations.
\- Operate machine for milling, turning, drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting, and polishing materials.
\- Finish projects using manual tools and precision instruments, including mics & calipers.
\- Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
\- Performs inspections of machined products and documents results.
\- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
Education requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Vocational certificate or completed industry apprenticeship.
Preferred Skills:
3-5 years of manual machining experience (BRIDGEPORT)

Must be able to follow established methods and procedures, must have good verbal and written communication skills; good organization skills; use of job-related micrometers; blueprint reading ability, and mechanical ability.
