We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Purchasing Buyer
to join our purchasing team! This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our production processes by ensuring the timely procurement of quality materials and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing purchasing and procurement, with a focus on optimizing supply chain efficiency and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase materials, components, and services required for production. Includes raw materials procurement of sheet & shaped steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Establish and maintain vendor/supplier relations
Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the best value
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to forecast material needs and ensure timely availability
Manage procurement documentation and purchase orders
Daily review of system inventory and order reports, responding as required to meet immediate needs
Review drawings and order required outside machining services for parts production
Process parts returns as required
Manage RFQ requests from various departments as requested
Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and quality standards
Skills and Qualifications
Strong communication skills
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite
Attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities
Requirements
High School education or equivalent
Minimum 3 years’ manufacturing purchasing experience
