Acquisition Logistician – Senior
to join our team in
Groton, CT .
Position Responsibilities
Serve as the CLB Class Supply Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all areas including Provisioning, Allowancing, Funding, Outfitting, Fitting Out, and ILS Certification.
Support the CLB Class Outfitting Execution Planning Meeting, identifying key stakeholders and meeting frequency for the outfitting and fitting out of the Lead Ship Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (SSBN-826) and follow-on ships of the COLUMBIA Class.
Review technical information and provide recommendations for the CLB Class COSAL Maintenance Action (CMA) review panel.
Respond to internal and external requests for comments on supply support policy and guidance documents from agencies such as NAVSEA, SSP, OPNAV, NAVSUP, and others.
Support provisioning events, develop provisioning metrics, and participate in process improvement meetings.
Support the Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) initialization, liaising with NIWC Atlantic for system installation and certification.
Participate in CLB Supply Support meetings and coordinate with stakeholders including SSP, NSLC, NSWC Crane, and others.
Coordinate with Hazardous Material Outfitting Teams and support the development and deployment of the Hazardous Material Information System (HMIS).
Liaise with NSWC Crane on electronic test equipment development, outfitting, and fitting out activities.
Support outfitting activities with stakeholders like MWR, CINC, NMRLC, and others.
Provide expertise on the CLB Class General Use Consumable List (GUCL) process and maintain guidance on provisioning and system use.
Support the CLB Class Provisioning Technical Data Package (PTD) reconciliation process.
Draft responses for the Supply Support Readiness Manager regarding material inquiries and issues.
Develop reports, meeting agendas, and minutes as needed.
Position Requirements
Must be eligible for and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Minimum of 15 years of logistics experience supporting NAVSEA/PEOs in supply support, outfitting, fitting out, and provisioning.
Willingness to travel at least 5 days per month to locations such as Washington DC, Bangor/Keyport WA, Kings Bay GA, among others.
