About the role
As the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Boston Scientific in Spencer, you will lead a dynamic team of engineers and technicians dedicated to delivering high‑impact engineering support to our Core Endoscopy production unit.
Your responsibilities
Recruit, develop, and coach engineering talent while fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high‑performing culture
Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to exempt specialists, supervisors, and non‑exempt employees within the manufacturing engineering function
Coordinate departmental activities to ensure equipment and processes are designed, validated, and optimized for efficient and compliant manufacturing
Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and operational excellence tools
Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
Demonstrate effective change leadership while aligning with the company’s mission, vision, and values
Build and maintain strong cross‑functional partnerships to support business goals and strategic initiatives
Develop and enforce operational policies and ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., FDA, BSI, EEO)
Manage departmental budgets, resources, and operational plans to meet key performance objectives
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a related manufacturing or engineering role
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or management capacity
Demonstrated experience in project management and execution
Proven track record of successful leadership and team development
Experience with manufacturing process improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., LEAN, DMAIC, VIP)
Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering or business
Experience in medical device manufacturing
Strong communication skills and ability to influence across multiple organizational levels
Compensation Minimum Salary:
$116,300
Maximum Salary:
$221,000
