Equitable offers a flexible hybrid office/remote work environment and the position is located in Charlotte, NC. The Regulatory Affairs Paralegal will manage regulatory filings to state and federal regulators related to life insurance, annuities and supplemental health benefits, as well as filings and reports related to state lobbying activities. The role includes gathering information from internal stakeholders, preparing filings for submission, and engaging with regulators as needed. It also supports handling state insurance department market conduct examinations and oversees relationships with industry trade organizations to ensure appropriate representation. Track regulatory deadlines and develop processes to ensure filings are submitted in a timely fashion to both state and federal regulators. Respond to regulatory inquiries related to filings and engage with internal stakeholders as appropriate. Coordinate and assist with the handling of state insurance department market conduct examinations and engage with internal stakeholders as appropriate. Manage and oversee the Company’s relationships with industry organizations (e.g., coordinating representation on committees, tracking budget impacts and qualitative analysis of resource use). Qualifications
2 years of paralegal/legal assistant experience in a law firm or corporate law department Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, or a related discipline Experience with life insurance products and the regulatory regimes applicable to such products and/or state lobbying reporting requirements Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Flexible and able to respond to unanticipated issues and reprioritize based on business demands Self-motivated with strong time management skills Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Ability to think on your feet and creatively Professional, energetic, team-player with positive attitude Skills

Base salary range is $85,000 - $94,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
