Position Summary and Key Responsibilities Under general supervision, provide counseling on all aspects and types of financial aid awarding and packaging. Responsible for maintaining students' financial aid records in compliance with Federal, State, and institutional policy. Assist in administering daily system processing within financial aid software Ellucian. Assist with yearly Ellucian set up, coding and other system processes. May occasionally serve and support VA Site Coordinator pertaining to VA benefits based on staffing needs. Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Financial Aid. Key Responsibilities: Conduct individual counseling sessions for students and/or parents either by appointment, telephone, e-mail or walk-in. Provide superior customer service by responding to students' and parents' inquiries accurately and in a timely manner. Represent the financial aid office to groups of students, parents and organizations Ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with co-workers, students and outside service representatives Interpret and apply a variety of rules, regulations and procedures Exercise initiative in organizing and completing assignments independently and continually seek new ways to improve processes. Participate in ongoing training and staff development to ensure we meet student expectations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Collaborative and able to build relationships across campus Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Willing to learn computer systems and Ellucian Colleague, and motivation to resolve system issues and other processing related tasks Ability to work with people in a fast multi-tasked environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to utilize data and software such as Excel, and Access to complete daily tasks and projects. Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and proven organizational skills Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Considerable experience providing excellent customer service in a student-focused environment, preferably in higher education. Understanding of Ellucian Colleague.

Work Conditions Office environment; 40 hours per week; normally 8:00am-5:00pm; occasional evening and weekend work required; lifting required.
