Overview
Keller Engineers of New Jersey has an immediate opening for a full-time Department Manager with 15-25+ years’ experience to oversee and manage our projects while mentoring and growing our team of NICET certified construction management/inspection professionals.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage projects for transportation agencies and municipalities (NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, NJT, counties, and municipalities).
Mentor and grow NICET-certified construction management/inspection staff.
Contribute to business development efforts and proposals to bring in new work.
Manage quality assurance/quality control, contract negotiations, cost control, and construction administration.
Possess or develop strong relationships within the transportation engineering community; operate in a Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer capacity if needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a PE License in New Jersey or NICET in Highway Construction Level IV.
Surface transportation (infrastructure) agency experience (NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, NJT, counties, and municipalities).
Successful track record in proposal development and business development.
Ability to manage agency-led construction projects for the listed clientele.
Experience with QA/QC, contract negotiations, cost control, and construction administration.
Strong embedded relationships with the transportation engineering community.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
