Position Summary: We’re seeking a
highly motivated Automotive Parts Manager
to lead the setup and operation of our new Kia parts department. This is a unique opportunity to build a department from scratch—managing systems, inventory, personnel, and processes—while having the full support of an experienced leadership team and a trusted family-owned dealership group.
Key Responsibilities: Department Launch & Leadership:
Oversee the full setup of the parts department, including layout, equipment, inventory systems, and workflow.
Work closely with Kia and dealership leadership to ensure a compliant and efficient launch.
Operations & Inventory Management:
Manage all ordering, receiving, stocking, and tracking of Kia OEM and aftermarket parts.
Maintain balanced inventory levels, reduce obsolescence, and ensure parts availability for the service department and retail customers.
Use
Dealertrack
for accurate inventory control and reporting.
Team Development:
Recruit, train, and manage a skilled and customer-focused parts team.
Foster a productive and positive team environment with clear goals and expectations.
Customer & Internal Support:
Deliver excellent customer service to retail clients, service advisors, technicians, and wholesale accounts.
Grow wholesale parts business and develop B2B relationships.
Compliance & Performance:
Ensure compliance with OEM standards, safety procedures, and dealership policies.
Track and report KPIs including fill rates, inventory turnover, and profitability.
Qualifications:
3+ years of automotive parts experience, with prior management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency with
Dealertrack
or similar DMS platforms.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts operations and inventory practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to efficiency.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
