VCA Worth Animal Hospital is growing its team and seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician. Location: 7727 W 111th St, Palos Hills, IL 60465 Schedule: FT 4/10s with rotating Saturdays Compensation: $18 - $23/hr and starting range is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field. Overall Responsibility: Our goal is to offer caring veterinary services that promote the well-being and happiness of our animal patients. Our Certified Veterinary Technicians are dedicated to providing compassionate care to all of our patients. Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures. Venipuncture and IVC placement Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc. Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team. Recognize subtle change in clinical status. Discharge instructions with clients. Complete estimates, basic record keeping. Inducing, maintaining, and monitoring anesthesia for procedures. Recovering patients from anesthesia. Performing nursing care of all patients. Utilize monitoring equipment and recognize trends. Dentistry and dental radiographs. Pharmacy. Processing laboratory samples in-house and preparing laboratory samples for outside labs. Diagnostic Imaging.
