Summary The New Product Integration (NPI) Manager III oversees and is responsible for operations, strategy, planning, and execution of new product launches in conjunction with the Program Management Office. They define, develop and execute program-level plans focused on operations to successfully meet all phases of the program, including product cost, quality, manufacturing, tooling, test, supply chain, and logistics. The NPI Manager serves as a mentor to other NPI Managers, providing central authority for multiple programs going into initial production and ensuring a flawless transition of product-specific deliverables from design into manufacturing, meeting or exceeding program objectives.
Position Responsibilities
Support or lead the development of NPI program planning and estimating for complex programs, managing all aspects of planning multiple NPI program plans.
Ensure site factories and functional operations organizations execute efforts to meet program objectives and adopt an operations strategy for larger scope programs.
Oversee operational tasking, deliverables, budget and schedule associated with manufacturing readiness and maturation.
Guarantee a smooth transition from development into operations.
Monitor data across multiple NPI programs, publish data to support improvements in product development and customer relations.
Responsible for internal and external NPI performance objectives, including cost, schedule, technical and performance.
Develop product operations strategies and business cases for NPI execution related to product portfolio management.
Support rollout, standardization, and continuous improvement of NPI processes, plans and metrics integrated into the product development and launch framework.
Lead program meetings and program reviews with customers and executive staff.
Lead and support complex issues requiring in-depth analysis of variable factors.
Determine methods and procedures for new assignments, coordinating activities of other personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering related field, or equivalent education, training and experience.
Minimum of 12–15 years’ experience in New Product Introduction, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing Supply Chain, Program Management or related functions with leadership or management responsibilities.
Proven track record of leading multiple concurrent programs.
Proficiency in EACs/Risk/Opportunity Management/Gate Review processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Strong knowledge of Project Management methods, tools and processes.
Ability to interface effectively with internal teams, government and commercial customers.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to articulate vision and mission to team.
Analytical and strategic thinking, leadership skills, high integrity, work ethic, and professionalism.
Ability to influence without authority in a matrix organization.
Understanding of partnership between Program Management and Operations/Manufacturing.
Detail oriented and able to manage multiple work‑streams.
Willingness to travel within Continental U.S. up to 25%.
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
EVMS and PMP Certified.
Lean/6 Sigma Training.
Proficient with Microsoft Project, EVMS; macro experience a plus.
Experience developing program plans, budgets and schedules.
Knowledge of ERP, MRP, MES, PLM systems; proposal/BOE knowledge.
Experience in engineering and production environments.
Experience in Mil‑Aero/DOD programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication with eye for detail.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Reliability, flexibility, initiative, self‑starter; strong time‑management and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
Commitment to teamwork and company objectives.
Ownership and responsibility for current and past work products.

Possession or ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; occasional travel within Continental U.S. allowed.

Salary $136,807 – $194,040.
ITAR Requirement This position requires access to information subject to ITAR/EAR compliance. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR and EAR or be approved for an export license. Current U.S. citizenship required for some contract requirements.
