The Role
The
HR and Benefits Manager
is responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, and administration of the company's total rewards programs to attract and retain the best talent. This role oversees compensation, payroll, benefits, 401(k) administration, HRIS management, and HR reporting/analytics.
What You Will Do Compensation management:
Manage all aspects of the merit increase process, including preparation, review, and delivery of merit letters; validate salary increases; and reconcile incentive and merit files for payroll processing. Compensation strategy:
Conduct benchmarking analyses and make recommendations to senior leadership to strengthen the organization's ability to attract and retain employees. Payroll management:
Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Benefits management:
Lead all aspects of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as wellness initiatives. Employee education:
Develop and deliver communications to help employees and managers understand the company's benefits offerings. Retirement plans:
Administer the company's 401(k) plan, including communication, enrollment, and vendor oversight. Open enrollment:
Manage the annual benefits open enrollment process, renewals, vendor negotiations, and employee communications. Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local laws governing compensation and benefits, such as FLSA, ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA. Reporting & analytics:
Manage required regulatory filings and audits related to payroll, benefits, and retirement plans. Strategy development:
Provide thought leadership to align total rewards strategy with company goals. Data analysis:
Use HRIS and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness and provide data-driven insights for strategic decision-making. Vendor management:
Oversee relationships with third-party payroll and benefits providers. What You Will Bring Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 5+ years of HR experience with focus on total rewards program design and administration Strong knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems Analytical mindset and excellent communication skills Proven ability to manage confidential information with professionalism Additional Details
