Water Resources Project Manager - Phoenix, AZ
We are seeking a talented individual with a passion for Water Resources, specifically surface water. This position is located in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will lead and direct activities to meet client expectations, demonstrating strong people skills, technical expertise, and management abilities. Responsibilities include business development, client marketing, and project development.
This role offers the opportunity to lead various water resources projects involving hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analysis, flood hazard identification, FEMA Risk MAP studies, drainage master planning, storm drainage, and stream restoration/stabilization design. Knowledge of FLO-2D is helpful. The person will mentor staff, review calculations, prepare reports, oversee project development, and ensure quality control of models and floodplain mapping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop client service skills and foster client relationships.
Prepare scopes, cost proposals, and negotiate contracts.
Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
Supervise, develop, and mentor staff.
Apply technical knowledge throughout project duration.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and AZ Professional Engineer’s license.
Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Ability to plan, organize, supervise, and satisfy clients.
Excellent communication skills, including speaking, listening, and writing.
