Position Summary
The Oracle HCM Integration and Reporting Lead is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to managing, creating, and maintaining all People data reporting and visualization requirements for the Oracle HCM product suite. This role ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable reports and dashboards, upholds data integrity and governance, and identifies opportunities to streamline and proactively enhance reporting solutions. The Lead will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, drive process improvements, and champion best practices in Oracle reporting and data management.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Oversight
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of reporting specialists and analysts.
Set clear goals, monitor performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Reporting Strategy & Delivery
Provide hands‑on expertise in regular report and data model development, along with ongoing maintenance and support of existing reports/extracts.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of reports and dashboards using Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts, SQL, Power BI, Fusion Analytics).
Ensure all reporting requests are prioritized, managed, and delivered to meet business needs and deadlines.
Drive the adoption of proactive reporting solutions, including automated and predictive analytics.
Integration Management
Lead the setup and implementation of integrations from or into Oracle HCM, ensuring seamless data flow and system alignment.
Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of integrations between Oracle HCM and other enterprise systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, finance, Snowflake, Active Directory).
Ensure data flows are accurate, timely, and compliant with internal and external standards.
Governance & Compliance
Establish and enforce data governance policies, privacy standards, and regulatory compliance for all People data reporting.
Maintain documentation retention and quality control for all report/dashboard requirements and enhancement requests.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with Oracle Managers, business leaders, HR, IT, and other teams to provide feedback on system enhancements and implement updated configurations.
Communicate technical solutions and reporting insights in clear, business‑friendly language to stakeholders at all levels.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting workflows and enhance data quality.
Stay current with Oracle best practices and participate in professional networks (e.g., Oracle Customer Connect).
End User Enablement
Provide guidance and training to end users, ensuring report functionality is understood and utilized effectively.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience developing and managing Oracle HCM reports and integrations, including OTBI, BI Publisher, and data models.
Proven experience leading teams and managing complex reporting projects.
Strong understanding of functional requirements and business processes related to People data.
Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel; experience with Power BI preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
Aptitude for understanding business processes, drivers, and KPIs.
Experience with data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
Experience with Oracle Fusion Analytics and other advanced data visualization tools.
Knowledge of HR, payroll, benefits, and finance integrations.
Experience supporting quarterly Oracle updates and ensuring reporting tools/systems remain current.
Ability to drive change and foster innovation in reporting and analytics.
Compensation The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Chicago, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Denver, CO and Baltimore, MD offices only is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year.
