Position Title: Project Manager (Life Science) — Location: Devens, MA. Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost. Value engineer the project by identifying opportunities for savings and ensuring material substitutions are equal. Manage on-site project stakeholders. Prepare Project Management Plan and fee budget/proposal at the project outset. Evaluate documents and communicate the client’s goals and expectations to the project team. Develop and communicate action plans from the initial Project Management Plan. Re-evaluate contract scope as the project progresses and recommend adjustments as needed. Coordinate with cost management for cost estimates, studies, actual cost reviews, and budget reconciliation. Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and document control. Drive permitting by preparing team documents for local, state, and federal agencies and ensure permits progress efficiently. Ensure design management aligns with the client’s budget, scope, schedule, and design standards. Prepare cost and revenue projections. Perform constructability reviews to assess build plan reasonability. Develop and lead design management, procurement strategies, construction, fit-out, and closeout. Contract and claim negotiations; budget development and management. Ability to run larger, more complex projects; effectively delegate tasks to the project management team. Oversee entitlement processes for unoccupied sites to obtain appropriate zoning. Lead the vision for project procedures and processes; perform other duties as assigned. Attend work during normal business hours. Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge and experience planning, managing, and coordinating all aspects of projects for multiple efforts. Ability to monitor and re-evaluate scope and adjust as necessary. Experience collaborating with cost management to provide accurate estimates, studies, reviews, and budget reconciliation. Experience with value engineering. Creativity and resourcefulness to manage projects in compressed timeframes. Strong written and oral communication skills. Understanding of how your role contributes to organizational goals. Deliver quality work by modeling core values and holding oneself accountable to goals. Effective collaboration with team members and clients; build positive relationships with peers, leaders, and clients. Education: BS in Construction, CM, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field Experience: 6+ years of Project Management, engineering, or construction management Preferred Certifications: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $115,100.00-$153,500.02 per year (base salary, not total compensation). Ranges depend on position, geography, client and industry experience/level. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range based on experience and qualifications.
