Holtec International and its subsidiary companies are designing an unfailingly safe and secure source of clean energy using nuclear fission called the SMR-300 small modular reactor. The position is offered by SMR LLC, a member of the Holtec International family—a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for the nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors. Join a growing multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers working on the next‑generation nuclear power plant.
Responsibilities
Support procurement process for nuclear grade components and engineering services, including defining scopes, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budget.
Work closely with other project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all project aspects are aligned and progressing smoothly.
Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project/procurement lifecycle.
Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and report on financial status.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, NRC regulations, and company quality guidelines.
Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.
Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
2–4 years of experience in commercial or naval nuclear engineering with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with U.S. NRC Regulation relating to commercial nuclear units.
SRO license or certification.
MS in Engineering.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Salary range: $95,000.00 – $125,000.00
