We are seeking a Global Brand Manager to join our dynamic team in our Richardson, TX or El Segundo, CA office.
Job Responsibilities
With oversight from VP Marketing, lead the creation of new toy brands: identify white space in the market, define brand positioning & DNA, identify core consumer, author and implement product line strategy, and go-to-market plan for launch.
Lead the ownership of existing toy brands: identify areas of growth, understand consumer wants & needs, and author & execute marketing plan that drives consumer demand.
Oversee the implementation of product strategy, including adherence to brand positioning & DNA, achieving optimal price points & value against competitors, ensuring play patterns fit the needs & wants of its core consumers, and ensuring clear packaging communication.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D team, regional leads) to develop compelling, profitable toy lines that kids will love to play with.
Support the Sales team by providing appropriate tools, materials, and presentations throughout their sell‑in process.
Author marketing plans that meet business objectives; brief & execute in collaboration with agency partners & cross‑functional marketing teams.
Support the retail sales team by presenting marketing plans, both to internal sales force and to key buyers.
Develop, implement, launch, and track marketing initiatives/strategies, including advertising, retail/channel marketing, pricing initiatives, channel distribution strategies, sales support, and promotions.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in toy brand management, both from a product development & consumer marketing perspective.
Demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking into brand creation, developing line architecture, and creating & measuring brand marketing plans.
Ability to read, analyze & utilize POS & NPD.
Experience in working with a licensor is a plus.
Strong communication, both written and oral, with a demonstrated ability to influence decisions.
Experience presenting to all levels of management and external partners.
