$32.00/yr - $40.00/yr Chameleon Technologies has an immediate opening for a temporary Purchasing Agent. This is an open-ended contract with high possibility of converting to a full-time position. The Purchasing Agent will lead sourcing, quoting, purchasing, and receiving activities essential to our client's product development. You will work closely with the technology and accounting teams in a fast-paced R&D / early manufacturing environment, performing tactical and strategic procurement activities to ensure our team receives necessary parts, materials, equipment, and services to meet project schedules, cost targets, and quality commitments. Responsibilities :

Issue RFQs and examine bids for new components, supplies, services, and equipment according to company policies; coordinate with project managers to select resources. Place Purchase Orders and manage communication with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of components and services. Keep project managers informed of schedule delays and alternative vendor options to mitigate impacts. Receive deliveries, file packing slips, and deliver components to project teams. Assist with adding inventory items into NetSuite. Evaluate new vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and capability; develop and maintain strong supplier relationships. Negotiate pricing and discounts with suppliers. Monitor inventory levels of prototype parts in coordination with project managers. Establish and maintain an efficient supply base, minimizing lead-times and transportation costs. Ensure purchasing documents are complete, accurate, and include reasonable terms. Maintain pricing history, discounts, and vendor records. Prepare reports as needed (pricing, part quantities, manufacturing orders, drawings). Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Experience in hardware manufacturing and testing environments. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Knowledge of hardware purchasing and manufacturing processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite is a plus. Hourly pay range for this role is $32 - $40. In compliance with federal law, all hires will verify identity and eligibility to work in the U.S. and complete employment verification documents.
