Strong interest in further developing the crucial role of Pathology in clinical trials is a plus, including new companion diagnostics. Candidates with a strong clinical, translational, or laboratory-based research program are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates with existing NIH grant funding will be supported by attractive research space and start-up funds to expand their programs. The successful candidate will join a team of faculty to provide world-class diagnostics at BIDMC. Additionally, the candidate will support the vibrant training programs, including the pathology residency program, and GI/liver pathology fellowship program. Applicants must be board certified in Pathology (AP or AP/CP). Board certification in Molecular Pathology (including NGS) is a significant plus. The candidate will be appointed to the full-time faculty of Harvard Medical School at an academic rank commensurate with experience. Research Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center consistently ranks as a national leader among independent hospitals in National Institutes of Health funding.
