Responsibilities
Oversee lamination processes and the efficient utilization of manpower to obtain maximum efficiency.
Ensure lamination manufacturing operations are in accordance with Regal's Quality Standards.
Actively coach and oversee Lead(s) and hourly Team Members (35-40 team members).
Train and motivate Team Members to achieve high levels of productivity and quality.
Communicate daily schedule with production team members.
Track team member time and attendance according to Regal's Attendance & PTO Policy.
Troubleshoot issues on the production line related to the boat manufacturing process.
Work with other departments to ensure parts are completed according to schedule.
Produce manufacturing defect lists, write Corrective Action Requests, answer technical questions and order appropriate materials.
Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable state and federal laws.
Interview team members, plan, assign and direct work, appraise performance, reward and counsel team members, address complaints and resolve problems.
Ensure manufacturing operations comply with Regal's Safety Standards, including ensuring safe workplaces, proactive safety measures, and proper PPE and equipment.
Required Qualifications
Must be able to confirm time cards and effectively utilize our timekeeping system.
Must be able to manage labor hours to meet production rates effectively.
Must be able to conduct employee conversations to communicate expectations, performance, and disciplinary actions.
Must be able to lead daily meetings with large teams to detail progress, current state, and future strategy.
Must follow all safety standards and procedures.
Must be able to understand and adhere to all quality standards.
Must be able to work well with diverse teams.
Must be able to coordinate production responsibilities to maximize productivity and deliver products on time.
Dependable demeanor; reliable, with a consistently punctual attendance.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs & Sheets, and Outlook/Gmail.
Conversational English.
Preferred Qualifications
Detail-oriented.
Experience in a leadership position.
Ability to interact and communicate with departments outside your area of responsibility.
Demonstrated dependability and reliability with prior work experience.
Ability to recognize employees’ strengths and weaknesses to place them effectively.
Resource management to address attendance or other issues.
Previous experience with training and onboarding of new team members.
Ability to learn and understand manufacturing processes.
A two- or four-year college degree.
Bilingual (preferred).
Work Environment Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside temperatures, reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Duties may require prolonged standing, bending, climbing into and out of boats, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Long work hours (including overtime) may be required.
