Inventory Clerk
Pay Rate/Range: $24.00 to $25.00
Hours: M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Bensenville, IL
Duration: 3 months
Position Summary:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by counting stock, reconciling discrepancies, and preparing inventory-related reports. This role ensures the integrity of inventory data and supports efficient warehouse and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Count merchandise in stock and record totals in inventory systems.
Compare physical inventory with office records, including sales orders, production logs, or purchase invoices, to determine current inventory levels.
Verify clerical computations against physical stock counts; adjust errors in records or counts as needed.
Investigate and report discrepancies between recorded and actual inventory.
Generate routine inventory reports, including stock balances and shortage lists.
Prepare lists of depleted, defective, or obsolete items and recommend appropriate actions.
Maintain organized and up-to-date inventory files and documentation.
Qualifications: Experience in inventory management or warehouse operations preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to analyze and reconcile data from multiple sources.
Proficient in basic computer systems and inventory software.
