Business Unit: Life Science - Supply Chain Operations (Broadway Manufacturing)
Position Summary: The
Manufacturing Technician II
at the Broadway site plays a vital role in supporting aseptic production and packaging operations within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for preparing, executing, and completing production processes while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess prior manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a cleanroom or aseptic setting.
Key Responsibilities: Production Operations Set up, operate, and monitor processing equipment, including
Watson Marlow pumps, Autoclaves, Filter Integrity Testers, and High Throughput Bag Lines . Perform
hand-filling, equipment preparation, and aseptic gowning/qualification
in controlled environments. Execute
batch records
and data entry accurately using
SAP
and related documentation systems. Conduct
in-process assays
and ensure proper sampling, labeling, and traceability. Package, label, and dispense products in compliance with GMP standards. Cleaning and Compliance
Clean and sanitize equipment, production suites, and tools following approved procedures. Ensure all logbooks and batch records are completed accurately and in real-time. Properly dispose of chemical waste and maintain compliance documentation. Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives and maintain PPE usage protocols. Safety and Quality Assurance
dhere to all
GMP, safety, and aseptic technique guidelines . Identify, communicate, and help resolve process deviations or unsafe conditions. Participate in ongoing
quality and safety training programs . Support Manufacturing Technician I staff as needed, providing guidance and status updates on processes, products, and equipment. Team and Communication
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding equipment status, batch progress, and issues encountered. Collaborate with Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations. Deliver finished goods to the Warehouse using a
motorized pallet jack .
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
required. Must be
eligible to work in the United States
without sponsorship. Ability to lift 20+ lbs
and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Willingness to work with chemicals and wear a
respirator and steel-toed shoes
as required. Strong commitment to
timeliness, attendance, and teamwork .
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year of experience
in a
manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology
environment. Working knowledge of
SAP
for batch management or inventory tracking. Experience in
aseptic techniques, pipetting, or osmometer operation . Basic understanding of
chemistry, mathematics, and safe chemical handling methods . Strong
mechanical aptitude
and troubleshooting skills. Effective
oral and written communication
and strong organizational skills. Associate's Degree or some college coursework
preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
100% on-site position within a cleanroom/controlled environment. May involve exposure to chemicals requiring
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) . Position requires
respirator use, physical exam , and compliance with EHS standards. No work with human blood or animal handling. Interview Details:
On-site interviews:
Tuesday - Friday at 8:00 AM (Manager available on third shift). Candidates must bring valid ID and be prepared for an in-person discussion and site overview.
