JMT is ranked on Engineering News-Record's Top 500 Design Firms. Position summary: Responsible for business development, financial success, and managing staff for the department at the local level. Essential functions and responsibilities

Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders Establish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business development Serve as Project Manager or Task Lead for Water Resources projects/tasks Manage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordingly Lead and contribute to the production of proposals Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff Establish resources staffing needs for the section Interview and hire staff for the section Perform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers on assigned teams Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meetings, coaching) that supports the growth and development of the team Nonessential functions and responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned Required Experience

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program Professional Engineer (PE) license 10+ years' experience in the specialized discipline Project management and business development experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Knowledge and experience with Bentley ORD and Autodesk Civil 3D Knowledge and experience with ICPR, SWMM, and HEC-RAS modeling software Knowledge and experience with ArcGIS Experience working with local clients at the county and state level Strong communication skills Strong presentation skills Qualifications preferred

Supervisory experience Experience with stream restoration projects Experience with water quality projects Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. EEO statement:
