Structural Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC | North Bethesda, MD | Richmond, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team in one of our East Coast offices. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of new construction and renovation projects across multiple sectors while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis and design for new and existing buildings. Develop solutions for building envelope and waterproofing challenges. Design with a range of materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood while applying relevant codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.). Work within a team structure on larger projects and manage smaller projects independently. Produce detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications. Support a wide variety of projects, including commercial, retail, government, hospitality, education, multi-family, senior living, healthcare, and historic buildings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering design experience. Proficiency with design and modeling programs, particularly Bentley products (RAM Steel, RAM Concept, Elements, etc.). Hands-on experience with building envelope and waterproofing design. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
EIT or PE Certification. 6–12 years of professional structural engineering experience.
