LEU+ Commissioning Manager

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for commissioning through operational performance qualification of the LEU+ manufacturing process using the IQ OQ PQ framework (installation, operational, and performance qualification). The base salary range is estimated to be $170,000 to $180,000 annually, dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills. The role reviews contractual documentation and engineering documents to ensure that commissioning and startup requirements are accounted for in the design. The Commissioning Manager prepares and maintains pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans (including schedule, mobilization of personnel and equipment). Supervises the preparation of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, as well as performance test procedures and operating manuals with the process team. Assists procurement for vendor assistance and assists subcontract groups for scope definition. Manages the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operational and performance qualification. Prepares commissioning progress reports to the Project Management workstream. Coordinates vendor representatives. Supervises performance tests if required. Interfaces with CFFF representatives to support hiring, training, and skill-set needs to support handover of the LEU+ expansion to CFFF Operations. Ensures the preparation of final reports, certificates, and customer requirements are met. Duties And Responsibilities (in Order Of Priority) Embraces the highest standards for safety and drives accountability to achieve operational excellence with a safety-first mindset. Preserves product quality knowledge and ensures process control; promptly corrects quality-impacting issues and reviews changes to ensure no adverse impact to product quality. Champions awareness of how worker activities impact product quality. Ensures effectiveness of operational systems by analyzing financial, production, quality control, and other data to meet operational objectives, including customer requirements, inventory optimization, and staffing within budget and schedule constraints. Education And Qualifications / Skills And Competencies Bachelor’s degree in a related field; engineering or operations management preferred; MBA preferred. Minimum five years in manufacturing operations (chemical manufacturing preferred); ten or more years in a discipline related to plant operations; five to ten years of management experience (resources & budgets). Lean Six Sigma certification preferred. IQ OQ PQ methodology and practice; strong understanding of regulatory impacts and risks; knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma; knowledge of accounting principles and financial data analysis; knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Skills Strong communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills; sound judgment and data-driven decision making. Leadership skills focused on motivating, developing, and directing others. Abilities Demonstrated ability to engage customers and understand customer needs and challenges.
