Support the planning and coordination of international assignments to and within the Region Americas (US, Mexico, Nicaragua). Support the implementation of HR projects in the Region Americas.
Principal Activities
Assist and advise expatriates with day‑to‑day issues and concerns
Request and extend work and residence approvals, in cooperation with the local HR department and public authorities (e.g., visas, I‑94’s, work permits and green cards to ensure government requirements are maintained)
Legal training in the field of immigration, international travel, work permits and visas
Coordinate L‑Visa (foreign work permit) with corporate HR/HR US
Prepare support letters for E2 visas and employment verification letters for expats/foreign associates
Coordinate relocation support for foreign transfers/expatriates (e.g., social security number application, driver’s license, bank account, etc.)
Prepare invitation letters for business travelers/temporary assignments from different countries
Code and keep track of invoices for attorney fees/relocation support services
Act as liaison between expatriates and tax consultant regarding U.S. tax topics
Support in determining and optimizing internal standards and processes within the area of expertise in cooperation with the supervisor
Assist Global Mobility Center with preparation for host‑based delegations to and within the Region Americas
Prepare expatriate calculation packages and contracts or review expatriate contracts for accuracy and clarity
Assist in implementing standards and processes
Act as interface between central and local HR units within the Region Americas
Implement guidelines for local expert program according to the needs of the US from recruiting to knowledge transfer from expat to local expert
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent work experience
HR Expat management experience of 3‑5 years
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Good organizational skills
Very strong problem‑solving skills
Intercultural competence, strong experience
